Hola! and welcome to my website. I have been teaching, dancing and writing about salsa and related Latin dances professionally in the London, UK and internationally for over 12 years, and this website exists to showcase my enthusiasm and knowledge of this wonderful, life-enhancing dance style, as well as to promote my skills as a writer and editor on this topic. I hope you enjoy my site; please feel free to comment on how it may be improved to best serve you as a dancer, teacher or promoter!

The website features several interviews, reviews, stories and articles previously published in Salsavine/Dancevine, Latin London and Que Pasa magazines, plus some newer articles I have written specifically for this site, as well as blogs and commentary on upcoming events for the London, UK and international salsa scene. It also features elements of my core salsa-teaching syllabus, with an explanation and history of the various popular styles of salsa and related Latin dances (eg mambo, merengue, cha cha cha, pachanga, boogaloo, bachata, rueda de casino and cumbia), with information about my availability and contact details for bookings.

Promoters who wish to advertise on this site are invited to contact me via email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or my Facebook page to arrange this; there is also a links section where weblinks to your event or weekly club night can be applied. I am happy to apply any images or PDFs to the site provided they are format-friendly and of good quality. I welcome any comments or corrections to any articles, and am happy to publish any relevant articles by any other contributors.

I also wish to advertise my professional writing, editing and production skills in general and for those who are looking to publicise their events or require good-quality objective reportage of congresses, clubs, live music and performance events. Please contact me at the above email address if you are interested in commissioning me for any writing or require help with editing or producing your own material.

Enjoy, and see you on the dancefloor!

Jane Cahane
